As we enter the 4th quarter and get closer to the end of the school year, prom is on all of our minds. Southwest juniors and seniors will be attending prom on Saturday, May 4, at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Tickets will be available for purchase at lunch from April 29th to May 2nd. Tickets will be $60 each, which includes a variety of snacks and drinks.  

The prom venue for this year is the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the same as last year’s venue. Many students are excited about year two at the MIA. Senior Mya Green thinks that “the venue is really nice,” and her favorite part of last year was “the photo booth outside with the spinning camera.” 

Seniors who will be attending prom for the second time are curious to see what aspects of the event will remain the same and what changes might be made. Southwest juniors are anxiously awaiting their first prom experience. Overall, the event should be a great time for everyone involved.
