With the fall sport season coming to a close soon, the Winter Sport sign up has begun. One of these winter sports: Nordic Skiing, will begin this winter. Here in this article, I interviewed a member of the Nordic Skiing team, Henry Niermann (’27) and I asked him questions about everything Nordic Skiing.
Q: Alright Henry, what is Nordic Skiing for those who don’t know?
A: Nordic is mostly on flat snow for long distances.
Q: How long is the season and when does the season officially start?
A: The season starts November and ends when the snow melts usually in the early spring.
Q: How many people are on the team?
A: A couple dozen.
Q: When and where are races / events?
A: The races are all around Minneapolis and races are usually during the weekend.
Q: What do you want to personally accomplish during the season?
A: I want to go to state
Q: What does your team want to accomplish during the season?
A: Go to state and win it all.
