It’s senior night on a chilly Wednesday at the swamp. The Lakers are looking for a win against the South tigers.

Q1:

Andres Ramos begins the night with a big run after the onside kick to start the game. The handoff with 8:35 left in the first quarter is good for a touchdown and the 2pt conversation is failed. Quarterback Preston Engen completes the pass to Andrew Gregerson to the end zone with 5:01 in the first. Lakers go up 12-0. Crowd turnout was a bit disappointing, but the few here have plenty of spirit. 

Q2:

With less than two minutes in the half, the Tigers block a Lakers punt for a safety and trail 12-2. Halftime score: 12-2 Lakers.

Senior night was a nice tribute to the seniors who played on the team or cheered from the squad on the sidelines. It was good to learn more about the seniors on the team.

Q3:

Andres Ramos scores a three yard run and the Lakers convert the PAT to grow their lead to 19-2.

Q4:

The Tigers were about to score midway into the fourth but the Lakers force a fumble on the five yard line. 

After a great all around team effort, Southwest comes up on top with a finishing score of 19-2. #anchordown
